Conference...

Just needed some bragging time but I do have a question.

Every conference we've had with a teacher over the last two years since Brandon started school have been fantastic. He scores high on everything he does. He's extremely intelligent, extremely respectful, and, apparently, incredibly lovable. His teachers adore him. They go on and on about how wonderful he is, how helpful he is, how smart he is. It's overwhelming to hear someone say such great things about your kid who isn't you or his father lol

However, Brandon had to be marked a little lower on his grading scale because she knows (as do I) he is capable of far more than he puts out. A lot of things that are acceptable for a first grader, she feels are beneath Brandon but he does the bare minimum of what is expected of him. He's not lazy. He loves to learn .So, how can I help him do all that he is capable of?

Also, we have a really huge problem with his eating habits. He goes to school clean and comes home covered, and I mean COVERED in his food. From mustard on his forehead to spaghetti sauce on his jeans. Anyone have any suggestions on that?
