Thats really cute. I know I am not trying to argue either.
A lot of ppl have been giving me crap about it too, that lady throwing my shower said I was selfish because she wants it to be pink or blue and refuses to do a neutral colour theme

omg!!! thats her being selfish not u!! and she can use yellow, green, baby blue and baby pink at ur shower if she dont want to just use yellow and green and of course if ur ok w/the other 2 colors!! I wouldnt wory bout ppl giving u shit thats stupid as hell. Everyone has there reasons for wanting to know or not wanting to know. and theres very cute neutral color stuff for baby showers out there b/c well most ppl do do either pink or blue and so it runs out easier at places lol but the neutral stuff is always there! My plates at my baby shower where neutral they were green, and yellow and hints of pink and blue and had jungle animals on them they were adorable1!

Yea I know. I try not to listen to her. I'm just gonna let her do it her way, with ALLLL the stupid baby shower games (I'm not a big fan of most of them) and not having any of my guys friends there, not even my bf, but she is the only person throwing one before I have the baby

thats good. I had 2 as well it was nice b/c i was due march 8th i had one in december w/ mainly family and some friends and we played games in everything then i had one after she was born, and it was still some family, but then all my friends and they got me stuff that i needed for later on and then stuff like diapers and lotions and some got me formula since we already knew wat kind shed take since she was here lol and i had way more fun at that one. I had to dress up at my first one and my 2nd one i wore jeans and a sweatshirt and it was great lol.

The one that my asst manager is throwing even tho, its not what I want at all.
Then, my dad is throwing one, but I'm sure it will be more of a "yay Ima grandpa" type deal like my grad party he threw almost5 yrs ago except it was "yay my oldest graduated HS" where there was no one I knew congratulating my dad.
And then the one my mom is doign for after since my family/ friends are all in IL and thats 4 hrs away. Also for all the reasons you mentioned for after the baby is here shower

Men are so funny. I like the bedding! I'm having a hard time picking out a set as well. I want innocent, pink, frilly, pastel. I can't find that. Everything is so grown up it seems. Why can't baby bedding be soft and really pale colored anymore?!

prolly cuz babies cxant see pale colours very well they need darker contrasting colours

I'm going for the old fashioned nursery look. It isn't "in style" anymore, that's why its hard to find. As far as babies seeing pale colors, it'll be alright. The rest of my house is colored enough...babies don't stay in the nursery THAT long...mostly to sleep.

I figure she'll be with me in the living room, or elsewhere while she's not sleeping.

I'm trying that too, I found stuff at consignment shops, a whole nursery (seriously everything even curtains) set in green and red, for like $25, but I'm trying more for old fashioned patterns and such and staying far far far away from winnie the pooh, almost everyone I know is getting crap tons of winnie the pooh.(I almost did a Nightmare Before Christmas theme) I hate being like everyone else, I'm trying to find old fasioned looking rocking horses and teddy bear pics. Plus my kid is getting a hand-made wooden bassinet too. so I'm trying. I'm kinda glad my mom and stepdad have the ability to make almost everything by hand

good luck finding stuff, and I'd try consignment shops if there are any around, pure treasure troves
