sore muscles from working out... help!

posted 30th Oct
Yesterday my personal trainer had me work my legs..Which we havent done in the 3 weeks of me starting towork out.. But since I only get him once a month now (the gym gives me him for free once a month, but 3x the first month).. He wanted to get me set up on "split" routines.. Where I work different sections of my body on different days..
Well yesterday, he had me work out my legs.. I busted my ass.. I worked quads, hamstrings, and calves.. MY FUCKING CALVES HURT LIKE A BITCH TODAY! Help! I can barely walk. I can mostly walk on my tiptoes..It hurts so bad to walk on my whole foot.. I have to SLOWLY lower myself down, to get onto my feet...
HOW can I make this achiness go away?! Ive been trying to stretch(pointing and flexing my toes)..
I know I hurt because I havent worked these muscles before... I just want it to go away some.. at least so I can walk.. We are doing a trick or treat safe street tomorrow.. and were possibly going to a church halloween thing tonight..
HELP LADIES..please!

The pain is good. It means muscles are being built. I never found anything to take it away other than resting those muscles as much as possible. That is why you rotate exercises. Legs one day, arms the next.

Next time drink a protein supplement (like Muscle Milk) after your workout. Helps the muscles recover faster and leaves you less sore. I work out 4x a week pretty hard and do this and am rarely sore.

Ok, so I've done a ton of marathons and havent been able to walk the next day. The only thing that helps you recover fast is doing exactly what you dont want to do...moving the sore muscles. Walking will help move the lactic acid out of your muscles quickly. Also, motrin helps and ice. Dont do heat... it makes the swelling in your muscles worse.
