DO NOT give up on her/this and be patient. This sounds like a case of sexual abuse, as in she's been a victim of something. Try having her draw pictures if you can.

You're not alone. I was a victim of molestation myself for many years and am very protective of my LO because of it. More-so than others it seems, that is.

I hope it's nothing, and it's just her experimenting, I do... But to be safe, check into what her insurance covers. Medicaid covers therapy. I would take her to a child psychiatrist (I probably butchered that word, but oh well) and see how that goes. In the meantime, don't let her around anyone you don't trust 100%.

That's the thing, there really isn't. She is in Kindergarten for a few hours a day but other than that she is home with me. I don't even really allow her at friends houses I usually just have her friends come to my house. I am very protective of her so I can't even think of when or where it could've happened, if indeed anything did.   It's just hard to think about since I went through it starting at her age. I was molested by my own father, the man I should've been able to trust.

I was too... I didn't see him for YEARS and when I was 15 he "wants" to be apart of my life. It's still so weird seeing him. He gives me gifts and money everytime i see him, and he bought a bunch of stuff the baby needed when I was pregnant now I feel like I HAVE to see him. Thankfully he doesn't visit that often.

I refuse to see my father. He got a huge settlement a few years back. I was pretty much promised money if only I would say he never touched me. I told his wife no amount of money in the world was worth my dignity.

Just keep gently explaining to her that she is still loved.It sounds like she is ashamed,so maybe she was molested, but it could also be like you said,curiosity.Kids play doctor sometimes,it's just important for them not to hurt each other or force each other.

Maybe she overheard some teachers talking about "adult things" or saw /heard her classmates do something like the "show me/yours/mine" game.
