I missed show and tell :(

posted 30th Oct
I just got around to checking my email, and seen that my son had show and tell today. Dang, I missed it.   Why did they quit sending newsletters and calenders home? Why must I find out everything through my damn email? I have a ton of emails to go through everyday, and of course the one from the teacher was at the end. I'm sure that it'll irritate her if I take something up to the school for his show and tell now that school has already started, but I'm thinking about doing it anyways. I don't want him to be left out.

Take something up......I always run things to school for my kids. Your son will probably be so happy and won't feel left out

I know how you feel! My daughter is always getting letters from school way later then I feel they should have been sent out. I loved her old school. They were so involved. Now at her new school I always almost miss everything which really upsets me because I want to be a part of her education.

Quoting Mommy Of 3 Now!:“ I know how you feel! My daughter is always getting letters from school way later then I feel they should ... [snip!] ... Now at her new school I always almost miss everything which really upsets me because I want to be a part of her education.”

His teacher sent me a freaking email on Sunday saying that she was giving him a different spelling test on Monday. (Not the one that we had been studying all weekend) I think she has either horrible, or lazy, communication skills. I try to talk to her in person, but she just keeps doing what she's doing and brushes me off. If my son has a problem, she doesn't even worry about it. She doesn't even follow his IEP. We have a new IEP meeting next week which I'm really happy about. I heard the Special Ed teacher giving her a talking to the other day, because she wasn't filling his paper out the way she is suppose too. He does his part, and so does his special ed teacher, but his regular teacher just seems checked out.

I've tried talking to my daughters teacher as well. He is actually a man. I've wrote letters even asking for them to let me know of events prior to them occurring because I have two other small children at home and need to arrange a sitter before I am able to attend all her parties, plays, etc. They don't seem to listen and I hate that.
