How long did you DH/ SO take off?

Mine can only take his vacation time so he will have about a week, hopefully

Mine called in sick for the first week since they don't have paternity leave at ASU and then we had the weekend together but he went back to work the next week I believe.

How long has he been with the company? Husbands are allowed to take FMLA leave just like you can

he just transfered 6 months ago so he will have been with this one for like 9 months when I pop. I read that fmla you had to be there a consecutive 12 months. He was in the hospital for organ failure a few months ago and they said he didn't qualify for FMLA then.

About a week I believe. But it fell on his six days off anyway if I remember correctly.

my hubs has been sick this week and he doesn't have any more sick time since he used it all last time I was in the hospital and I feel guilty I'm worried about all the vaca time he is using lol he should know better then be sick!

He was home 21 days for R&R he got home a week before I popped and got to stay two weeks after because I had a c-sec.

Yeah   You have to be there for 12 months to qualify. That sucks, man.

My SO is forced to take his annual leave over summer (fromChristmasthrough to beginning of Feb) and is only give one day of unpaid paternity leave. I think he will just have totakesome leave without pay. Sucks

haha I realized I never answered the question: When Will was born Rick took off a week. This time around he won't be taking any time off. He works from home so it's not a big deal, though.

i think he is taking 2 days

my boyfriend didn't take any time off work when my daughter was born, he had just started working a new job at the time and could only afford to take off the day i gave birth. this time he will be taking a week off though   thank god, i don't know how i would manage on my own this time with a 2 year old and a newborn haha

2 days, he drove me home from the hospital and went back to work.

damn! I'm happy Hans is going to have about a week, me hormonal with no car, no one around and a new baby I see that being stressful.
