we're moving! *long lol

Its official.
Travis and the kiddo and I are moving out. My mom is going to stay in this house and move if she decides to later. Back story- I had to find a place with my mom during my pregnancy. My relationship with Travis went for shit, i lost my job and didnt have many options. My mom was amazing through all of it. We've been living in this house since January. Its an older house with alot of work that needs to be done. I guess we were optimistic in planning on fixing it up. Its pretty hard with a little one in the house. So Travis and I got back together in the Spring, he moved in at the end of the summer.
The dynamic between travis and my mom has obviously changed. He hurt me BAD and she was there to pick up the pieces (that and BG hehe) But now I have two stubborn, some-what controlling people harping in my ear about each other. Its hard to be caught in the middle. Niether are perfect! My mom is great but shes got opinions about things concerning Laila and if he or I dont agree she gets SO SNOTTY. its really annoying. So after a few times bringing it up casually I think my mom finally got it the other day. We were driving home and the whole topic was brought up again. She said she gets uncomfortable because sometimes she says things and i take it wrong. I said "Mom, basically I just feel like in our house Laila has two moms. And I have half as much say as i should. That to me is uncomfortable"
So we had a good healthy nobody-got-their-feelings-hurt talk and we're going to get a place just for the three of us!!

So we started looking at places online. We're not going to rush into taking just anything. It has to be worth it: good layout for a baby, NEWer, good neighborhood and reasonable price because the place were in now is cheap.
Im excited after a year-long break-up Travis and I are going to live together again and have privacy. And I will be the matriarch of the family- not my mom. It will be very healthy for all of us! even her- she's so helpful sometimes she'll knock you over to help- literally. Maybe she will start working out more which is her LOVE, shes got a guy that wants to date her. It will just be a win-win.
I feel childish admitting it but it WILL be an adjustment not having her around. She's so involved and she's been there since Laila's been born. Its going to be hard for me at the beginning to be short one person to give me a hand.
But im really looking forward to all of this!

PS: Me and Jacob are seeing each other again as of this week so I am doing my little happy dance tooooooo   He has changed alot so far as I can tell.....we shall see how things go, but we are both in no rush to be official just yet.

That's great! It'll be a big adjustment but I'm sure you're just dying for your own place. I love my mom but I would go crazy if she lived with us!

probably not. White Rock is expensive. this place im in is a GEM price-wise lol. Im hoping Langley. Travis is a Surrey boy and he has no idea why wont move back there lol

Haha, I think only those of us from around here know why you never, ever admit to wanting to move back to Surrey.  

But, either way, I'm happy for you that you're moving out. I'm in a similar boat (about living with my mom) and I'm on the 1 year plan to get enough money together to move out and buy something else (my mom and I bought this house together and that's a lesson learned.....never EVER buy a house with a mother....or don't live in said house  ). Enjoy the freedom!

I live in Langley! Who knows...maybe you'll end up being my neighbour, lol.
I grew up in Surrey and my parents still live there but I love Langley way more. We live in the Walnut Grove area.
