The pit bull question got me to thinking...

What do you guys think about the Mike Vick situation? I think he should rot in hell personally, but I'd like to hear other opinions...

They have REALLY turned this into a racial issue and I don't see how it is. Do you think he is being unfairly treated because he is black? Do you think it may cause him to get off?


Here is a tidbit of what they are charging him with...
"The 19-page indictment said Vick was deeply involved in the operation, attending fights and paying off bets when his dogs lost. He also was accused of helping execute losing dogs by methods such as hanging, drowning and electrocution."

he deserves to be in jail. and i dont want to offend anyone but EVERY time a black person is on trial they say that they are being treated unfairly because they are black. i guess they think that white people have this scheme to send every black person to jail or something. i dont get it. if they did the crime then they should be punished. and what he did was sick and he deserves to be in jail and i would say the same thing if he was white, mexican, chinese, or whatever.

They found evidence against him, major evidence. Despite his colour he abused dogs and killed them. Utmost animal cruelty and he should rot in hell for it.

Someone somewhere will always turn issues like this into a racial issue. He should rot in hell. I could careless if he were white, pink, purple or green. Perhaps his punishment should fit his crime.

It has nothing to do with race. It has to do with animal cruelty and for that he should be punished. Harshly, in my opinion. This man is truly sick. When people abuse animals, it almost always turns into violence against humans. I wouldnt want to risk having him on the streets. He should rot in jail and hopefully he will.

Good, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I've even heard the argument that they are treating him unfairly because they don't like the falcons!!! WTF?? It makes me sick to even think about what he did... I wouldn't be surprised at all to find out he has also done things like this to people who didn't meet his requirements. I hope they make an example out of him to show that the country does not place fame over ethical responsibility.

Pardon my language here, but Fuck him. This has nothing to do with race, and I see this as a time when the race card is not being used properly! The way they killed those dogs is horrible, and fighting is horrible and cruel as well!

Uh, it definitely has NOTHING to do with race. I hate when people turn everything into a race issue, it's so damn old. White, Black, Green, Blue... what that man did was lower than low... hurting poor, voiceless animals... he'll pay for it in one way or another. Perhaps they should torture him in the exact ways he tortured those dogs.

i heard a big conspiracy that one of his friends is going to take the entire blame so michael vick gets off...and after his friend serves jail time michael vick will take care of him for life. this is just so michael vick won't get kicked off the team. which honestly i do think is unfair. there have been players who killed people and still got to play. so until they start treating them all the same and kicking all the criminals off the teams (who would be left to play? lol) i don't think kicking him off the team should even be in question.

If he gets off, then I dont know why he wouldnt be able to play. But if he is convicted and does jail time, which hopefully he will, then he wont be able to play anymore anyway! Grrr...He just makes me so mad!!
