on not taking your kidos trick-or treating becuase of the flu /h1n1 going around?

we have   my daughter doesnt know it yet?

i think you'll be fine .. youll be outside & candy is wrapped if thats what your worried about..

we would be taking my stepkids, but there mom has them for halloween. No need to stay inside afraid of it!

that's waaaay over the top paranoia IMO. waaaaaaaaaay past crazy.

OMG. My daughter isn't going trick-or-treating either. She could get Ebola or the HIV or mauled by a dog!

Not really. But she isn't going because she is one and doesn't even know it gets dark outside because she goes to bed so early.

Have you considered taking her trick-or-treating and then replacing her candy with some you bought yourself when you get home? I've known scaredy-cat parents to do that.

You can always have them wash their hands really well when they get home, make sure their hands stay away from their faces while trick or treating....and you unwrap their candy for them. The candy on the inside will be fine.

What do you do when you have to go to work, or the store, or see family or friends, if you're gonna get the flu, you're gonna get the flu, that's all there is to it. Don't take away a fun day for your kid because of it
