Jayce as diganosed with Croop last night. (whooping cough)

They had to admit him...x-rays should his air pipes were almost closed completely. His cough sounded like a bark. It was so scary...the crazy thing is that he was still not to fussy....pretty good spirits overall. Its so hard for me to tell when he is REALLY sick...if it wasnt for the cough, I would have never known!

They had us stay overnight...gave him steroids which Im a little weary about...but hes fine now so thats good!

Anyways - watch those babies ladies, everyone is getting sick! That was scary business!

Im so scared my little one is going to get sick. There's some nasty ass shit going around right now.

croup sucksssssss....seth had it when he was like 7 months I hate to see them that sick

My husband used to get Croop a lot as a kid. he spent a lot of time in the Croop tents.

Steroids aren't too bad. My son has been on them twice. I am glad he is doing better. I can't remember if you vaccinate or not? Did he ever get the Pertussis vac??

So sorry momma. Hope he starts to get over it soon!

Ive been on Steroids since 1999. Long term, they suck.

My old babysitter's son got it. He was 11 or 12 months. Good thing it's not contagious!

My babysitter's kids just found out they had it this past monday and I was told that it is contagious but if they are careful then he'd be fine. But now you have me scared and I'm waiting for a call back from the pedi. He has been coughing a little bit but he also just got over a sinus infection and an ear infection.   I hope your little guy feels better.

Umm, Pertussis is very contagious.

Aw poor kid   Poor Maddie [Devan's daughter] went to the ER last thursday and was diagnosed with pneumonia and croup! she's a LOT better now though  

Oh no!!! That is so scary! I'm so glad he's doing better now...! How long did he have the cough before it got so bad??

And yes, it's very hard to tell when they're sick if they're happy all the time!!

It is contagious. But it's only as contagious as the common cold.
