well i had my 2nd appt today and the dr. wants me to cum bk n 4 wks and then again in 2 more weeks to find out sooooo ill be about 18 weeks when i finalllly find out.

My dr is doing one on Dec 14th, I'll be 18 weeks & 5 days then

are you high risk for any reason? even high blood pressure? thats usually the reason why they do frequent ultrasounds

Not that I know of... the only problems I have that might effect pregnancy(i'm really not sure if they can or not, i'm kinda dumb about stuff like that lol)are endometreosis and ovarian cysts...do they consider that high-risk?

they probably would consider endometreosis high risk, since that can attack your uterus. they are probably doing frequent ultrasounds to keep track of your extra tissue growth, to make sure its not harming the baby. but look on the bright side, you'll have an awesome scrap book with all those ultrasound pictures!!

Hi, midwife said i would have to wait to week 20 and that they do not do the scan to check the sex so i won't get another try if s/he doesn't cooperate, how mean???

Im due May 27th, and Xmas day will be 18 weeks and we begged them to sonogram a few days before so we would know for Xmas.. and they refuse until the first week of January. Is there any way to get them to do it? Would a different doctor do it?

Hmmm I really don't know.. I'm uber glad my doctor isn't like that.. he's really nice. Maybe a different doctor would do it for you but Idk if you'd be willing to switch just for that..

hello! well im due may 15th, and im 13 weeks right now. my next doc appt. is th 18th of nov.i'll be 14 weeks by then...& the doc says she may be ableto tell me the gender by then? so im hoping she will see a lil wienni lol r a lilgirl, whatever God blesses me with...but if she still cant tell bythen she said yeah we willhave to waittil the next 4week check up, but that will suck lol cus im super anxious! probably just like every mommy is!

So thing turned out not so good at the doctor. I got called back and was waiting for him to come back when a nurse came in and said "He's especialy busy today so you're going to be seeing a midwife." I was ok with that. The midwife came in shortly after and asked me a bunch of questions and was attempting to get to know me and found the heartbeat on the doppler(150 yay!) and then I told her that my doctor was planning on doing an ultrasound today to find the gender. She said that she wouldn't do it because she doesn't feel comfortable doing it with me only being 14 weeks (oh! and she changed my darn due date to may 11th, i must remember to change that). I was really really really mad. I wanted to know sooo bad but she said the next time I come an ultrasound will definately be performed, as I will be 19 weeks then.

When I left from the doctor I cried (I'm a bit emotional lol) because I missed my nice doctor with the french accent lol.

aww i wish i had a dr with a french accent. sorry you didnt get your US. maybe that is why i cant get one, bc i have to see midwives bc i cant find a female dr. and i am strongly opposed to a male unless its an emergency situation.. im weird, i know.
