I did what I posted. 

When they got more personal and started calling my daughter a "stuck up redbone," and my son a "dirty terrorist," I went into the school and talked to the teacher about talking about tolerance. She alerted their parents, who apparently talked to their kids, and most of it stopped. I told them it was all ignorance and Allah made us all special, and not to hold close to their hearts.

Thanks for the advice and that's so awful that children are saying those things. They have to hear them from at home or maybe even watching very inappropriate t.v. shows.

Exactly. I didn't want my kids to take it personal or hold it against the other kids so I told them it wasn't their faults, it was TV or the parents. Saabirah's first boyfriend broke up with her a month ago because of racial teasing.

I asked her if someone said something about her skin and she wouldn't answer which means yes. I'm not sure if I should approach her teacher or if I should just try to handle this at home. I'm sorry about Saabirah's boyfriend, I remember a "boyfriend" of mine broke up with me for the same reason when I was a kid because some of the kids in the class were calling me "nigglet". I went through this as a child but my parents would just tell me to ignore it and that was the end of that.

That's what happened to Saabirah and Johnathon, some kid called him a "nigger lover" and he dumped her. She said if he was that weak minded, she didn't need him. 

I'm sorry kids are being mean to her. She's a beautiful girl, she should never feel bad about herself. If she really seems to be getting sad, you may want to talk to the teacher. Teasing and bullying can get REALLY out of hand quickly.

nah, the kids dont acknowledge it and neither do i. i speak what spanish i know with them and ask them how to say things if i dont know. they like "teaching" me as well. also makes them more comfortable speaking English with me even if they are just learning it.

That's good. The weird thing is, at my daughter's school they have a lot of Spanish and she's good at it, I guess that must be weird to the kids. IDK.
