DIET QUESTION.

posted 29th Oct
I consume anywhere between 500-700 calories a day. (Not the healthiest thing, I know...) But most days, those calories are coming from bagels.. chicken tenders.. things like that that aren't "diet" foods.

My question is... do those foods make me not lose as much weight even though I'm doing them in small proportions vs. if I was eating "diet" foods in the same amount of calories?

Not consuming enough calories will make the weight stay.

I don't believe so.
I think for it to be real weight you are losing your body needs nutrients and you wouldnt really be getting much of them with the foods you mentioned..
Mostly just 'water weight' would be lost and if you ate normally again the weight would come back.

If your not eating enough your body knows and holds onto the weight. You should probably be eating 1200 calories for your body to not be in starvation mode.

I don't think so because chicken fingers and bagels have alot more of fat & carbs than diet foods do. it's not about the calories, it's more about fat, carbs, sugars in the food you are eating..

You should really re-think your eating habits. Not to sound mean,.. but you're really eating the wrong things and not enough calories.

I've have had bad eating habits for years. I'm just trying to be realistic. And I know I will not eat diet food all day, everyday. So I figure moderation is better?

Theres a happy medium. Thats a really low calorie count. You definitely need more than that.
What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

Just another... 5-10 lbs. I've already lost 4 in a little less than two weeks. I'd like things to be a little less... jiggly, lol.. but I know that really wont happen unless I work out. Which I really don't have time for.

Yeah the thing about not consuming enough calories is that you will gain back any weight you lose as soon as you slip up. You're body is in starvation mode andwill cling onto everything you eat.
I think you should try to make healthier choices and try to get a little exercise. I'm sure you could make a little time for it.
