SO my SIL just came over and told me she is 4 week pregnant and is on her way to have an abortion. She always said that she doesnt beleave in that but i guess its diffrent when its you. she was saying how shw cant afford it and her bd already has a kid that he pays for. thats a lame way to put it but then i told her waht about adoption she said no then i said " you relize that getting an abortion is not making you unpregnant your killing your unborn and you still going to be a mom just of a dead baby." after i said that she cried and i felt soo bad. I think i was wrong but i dont want her to make up her mind in 2 days of finding out.i want her to think about it. She is getting a 2ed job and will be debt free in 2 months and she can change her whole life around. She's 25 almost 26. I just cried woth her and tried to help her out but i think i made things worse after saying what i said.

Guilt tripping her into keeping her baby is NOT the way to go about it. It's not YOUR decision anyway. and she is SIL, SUPPORT her. Yes, you were cold hearted. BUT that is an opinion of a die hard pro-choicer. Im sure pro-lifers will agree with you.

Yes you did. If you don't plan on helping her financially support this child than I don't understand why you had to be so mean and tell her that she can do something that she feels she can not.

Well my SO just called her and said that even he is willing to help her and let her move in with us and i dont mind it and i really do regret what i said. I should of thought about it b4 i said it.

I'm a pro lifer but there is a difference between giving her facts and guilt tripping her. A little harsh on your side but having an abortion is a big decision not to be taken lightly. Good luck with all that.

thought it was cold hearted, it's true. too many people think abortion is just an easy way out of THEIR mistake. people forget what is really happening.
i am just a naturally blunt person, so i would have done the same thing. not because of my views on the pro-life/pro-choice debate, but because people need to be reminded of the gravity of the situation, and not just turn a blind eye.

Im on the fence as far as abortion goes. I would not ever personally get one unless there wasa 0% chance of the baby leading a normal life or being preg seriously seriously endangered my life. I dont believe in abortion as a form of birth control...I mean its not the baby's fault you got preg right? But on the other hand, In cases of rapeorincest the mother should not be forced to carry the baby. In the end I think it ends up being the mothers choice to do it or not to do it. Doesnt meanI need to agree or approve of it.

I would have said the same thing you did. Harsh or not, its the truth, and if it made her cry she isn't convinced that killing her baby is the right thing anyway.

I know a chick who has had 2 or 3 abortions already and she said she'll keep getting them when she keeps getting pregnant! I don't understand chicks like that at all...there are WAY better forms of birth control.
