Birth wishes for Kris and Emily

The baby is to be put to the breast as soon as possible

The baby should stay with the parents at all times. If it becomes necessary to move the baby, it is our wish that the father, Kris, should be allowed to accompany him.

No formula is to be given to the baby without permission from the mother. We wish to breastfeed and do not want any formula given.

No pacifiers are to be given to the baby, under any circumstances. We have brought along our own pacifiers to give the baby if we so choose.

they put drops in the baby's eyes to get rid of any stds you might have. it's stupid and makes them have bleary vision for awhile. if you know you are all "clean" down south, then i'd opt out of it.

its just to prevent them from any infection coming out vaginally.. Just a precaution but they usally keep their eyes closed for awhile after they put it in.. i didnt have them put it in my sons eyes until he tried to latch on and i had bonding time with him

Your doc....the baby's doc. Every shift change the baby's new nurse comes in to talk to you....give her a copy each time...they forget. Put one on his haspital bed.

Thank you!  You mentioned a copy goes to the baby's doctor. We don't know who the baby's doctor is yet, do they just provide a pediatrician at the hospital?
