I have never been a liberal. May I ask where you got this quote?

I'd rather not put a label on my views but I wonder where wanting personal sovereignty free from authoritative rule would place me =)

Ah okay. Yeeeah. It makes sense though, I see alot of peoples views change as they get older, some do it to fit in I think. I have always had right wing opinions. Used to get into fights with my former best friend who was raised by left wings. Funny I think...

i think it has to do that as you grow older you build up more and more assests. You have more money therefore you dont wnat it taken away by the entire populaiton..you have something to lose. As for a younger person, has nothing much to lose so left wing ideas seem ideallic (sp)

Yep. I've noticed that much is true. I hate that political and enviromental stuff are fads. (Like "Going Green") I think its really....lame to be cool with a trend like that, clothing styles a tad different. Know what I mean?

i think the green fad is necessary though...if we continue extracting the earths goods like we are for much longer there wont be an earth from which to extract from in twenty years. especially true for fresh water. I saw a report on an amercian company that bought canadian water (which is the only product which is covered by the ALENA (i dont know the initials in english) which means that the gov of canada can refuse to sell that natural ressource,..in fact its illegal....) so that they could build fountains in a californian city....
peopel are dying from the lack of fresh water..i thought it was just plain ridiculous...

I think it has more to do with young people try to see the world as they think it should be and as people get older, they see the world for what it really is.

No, the actually being green is one thing. Wearing tshirts with green or political views on them irk me. Especially when they are still rollin in the diesel truck.Hipocracy at its finest.

Maybe, especially for that exact quote.
To be honest its probably many different factors that lead to that general fact of life.
i know that it was also proven that the more educated you were, the more likely you were to have leftist ideals, especially if you had degrees in sociolgy or any other Ology   i know that this was proven for Canada were we have alot of social prgrams. many times the people that were uneducated and poor were aginst the same programs they were depending on or could be part of(ironically) and that alot of scholars were inclined to the idea of a more universal approach to general aspects of the everyday life. Im not sure if done in the US, that same experiment would have given similar results...

lol. I used to work with this girl, self proclaimed vegan, wore berkies, long hair in a braid, the whole nine yards. We were at a compant christmas party/meeting playing human Bingo. The person running the game calls out "Is a Vegan" She raises her hand, as she bites into a fried chicken leg.
