birthcontrol/implanon ovulation question.

Is it possible to have ovulation symptoms while on birth control, more specifically implanon and not actually be ovulating. Or does that mean that I'm probably ovulating. I've had it for a year now and never once had ovulation symptons, especially around the time I was supposed to be ovulating LOL I'm so confused and afraid to have sex. TIA
