AngelCare Movement Monitor

posted 28th Oct

Necessary? Unnecessary?

Helpful? Not helpful?

If you have it, or a different form of it, or know about it, share your experiences.

I'm debating wether to get it or not.

I believe I read somewhere that it bring peace of mind to the parents, but once a child stops breathing from sids, theres nothing you can do about it.

Yeah, that's one point I forgot to ask about.

So pretty much it's just for peace of mind?

Exactly. As sad as it is. You can take every prevention in the world, but if it is going to happen, it will.

yup! everyone these days are trying everything in the world to not...but worrying just makes it worse. just do like they did in the olden days and take it a day at a time. just like they say to put the baby on it's back, my baby would only sleep on his stomach.

My Best friends SO bought it for his son, and it saved his sons life. He stopped breathing a couple times and he had to wake his son up to remind him to breath. He thought once he was going to have to give him cpr.

I'm thinking of getting it.

We have one. It has never gone off falsely but we don't even turn it on anymore because the monitor senses the fan and won't go off anyways. I'd rather have the fan on circulating the air than the monitor on. We also co sleep now as well so it's just being unused in his bassinet. I will still probably use it when he goes into his nursery just for peace of mind.
