My son didn't crawl until a day before he turned 9 months old and today at almost 10 1/2 months old it is like   I am glad I got a long run out of him being stationairy.

Yes, seriously. Life was so much easier then. Not that things are hard or I don't like him being mobile it is just totally different! I love seeing all the new adventures he makes, etc. But mobility comes with attitude   When they figure out that they can basically get to anything their little heart desires they don't like being told "no" or taken away from it. That is when the tantrums start

It is weird because this is your sweet baby who has been nothing but that.....so when they have a tantrum or give attitude it is like WTF

He started saying Momma around 6.5-7months old and Daddy around 8 months old.

See, most people say "Daddy" was their babies first word but not for us!

The first time it happened, it was so sweet. He had just gotten is 6 month shots and (of course) was screaming. I picked him up as soon as I could and he said "mum mum mum". The Dr and my MIL couldn't believe it, and I couldn't either!
