Fellow co-sleepers

How long are you planning on co-sleeping or what age did you stop? Gabriel will be 2 soon and we were going to start trying to move him but then we had our daughter so I thought I would wait.

What ages where your babies moved to their own bed and how?

I'm doing a gradual transition. I put Ayanna to bed in her crib, and when she wakes up, I bring her into bed.

So, she'll sleep through the night in her crib when she's ready.  

I started putting her in the crib about 3 weeks ago, I think.

My older 3 moved out of our bed around 2 years old (we let them tell us when they're ready), my 19 month old moved out at 13 months. Panzer, my 6 month old, will leave whenever she's ready.

We had his bed in our room but moved it to fit the bassinet. Not sure if we should put it back.

Grace made the decision herself at about 8 months. She would not settle at all one night in bed, so out of frustration I put her in her crib and BAM, asleep. I was not planning on it, but she wants her own space  

My daughter is 18 months and she still sleeps witth me,
But she would also sleep in her own bed if me if need be. Since my SO works overnight I kinda rather her be in bed with me so we can snuggle!

So you just waited for signs from them, I would feel more comfortable with that so I know he is ready. I dont think I am though haha but I dont want to wait too long either.

Whenever he's ready. He loves snuggle time a night, so it won't be too soon.

She's 6 1/2 months old... and her nursery is attached to my room. So, technically not in the same room, but there's no separation, if that makes sense.

We're moving in January, though, and I'm pretty sure we'll be sharing a room then

Aww Gabriel was the opposite, he went from our bed to his crib and then one day decided he would not stay in the crib anymore and was back in our bed. It's been about a year now.

Awe you had that baby - congrats hun...so cute!

GL with the co-sleeping....my bed is a family bed now. Me, Arieanna and Jayce...I dont know when I will stop it. Its became a habit...

I'm planning sometime between 1 & 2. Drew takes his naps in his crib and sometimes sleeps the beginning of the night in his crib. (He used to only sleep with me) I want him sleeping on his own by the time he's 2 though.

Wow.

I would be sad if Ayanna did that... but also kind of relieved. It's hard to get her to sleep at all on her own. haha
