so my bday is on thursday and im having my party friday..its my first night w/o the kids and were just going to go play poker and go to the bar and get a hotel. so i invited some friends and it seems like its going to be a good turnout. Anyways i didnt invite my friend who is 7mths pregnant and she is FURIOUS..i didnt invite her because we'l be at bars and i didnt think she would want to go since maybe it would be alittle boring for her since ive been in that position before where everyone was drinkng and i felt left out. She called me up freaking out and i tried to explain to her my point of view. Maybe i should have invited her but i didnt want her to take it as me rubbing it in her face that we'll all be drinking ya know? or as why would u invite me when you know im preganant! i didnt think it was that big of a deal but to her it is!

my feelings would have been badly hurt.

Still could have invited her. Weather she ended up going or not, that is her choice to make.

even if you hadnt talk to that person in awhile and she knows to blow things WAY out of proportion

I would have invited her, but told her you'd understand if she didn't go.

I would have been mad too...it's nice to have an option...not have someone else make the decision for you.

She might have enjoy poker...or a night out of normalacy. It sucks when you're preggo and people treat you likea lepor who can't do anything.

TBH, I wouldn't invite a pregnant friend either - especially if you're going to bars.
I'm sure this is one of those lose-lose situations though haha.

Ditto. I think she would have appreciated the invite and then decide for herself whether she is up for it. I know I felt (and still do feel) left out a lot because I was pregnant and now have a kid and have to find a sitter, etc.

I get where you're coming from but i would have wanted to be included..Also depends how close you really are. If she is like one of you true to heart bff's then you should have at least let her know the plan and let her decided wether she wants in or not. She could have played poker. I felt left out when I didn't get invited to anyones b day. I usually go to the b day dinner and go home when they go clubbing afterwards

  me too. Just because I am pregnant wouldn't mean I don't want to hang out with my good friends. Granted I am tired a lot, but I am also extremely bored and getting out is nice - drinking or not.

A friend is a friend I would think. An invite would be nice either way.

That's how it would have been with any of my friends, especially with that horomonal rage in the mix.

Maybe I'm different though, if one of my friends called me up to invite me to go bar hopping when I was pregnant I'd tell them they're an idiot and hang up 

ETA: Maybe you can make an event that she is safe to go to for another day?
