Going Over Due Date!

Has any mother went over their due date by a couple of days but didn't have to be induced? My due date is friday and its just something I wanted to know I don't want to be induced either

My friend went 2 weeks over due. You can usually, safely go to 42 weeks before induction. It depends on your placenta and other factors.

I went 6 days overdue, went in to be induced, they broke my water and I needed no further assistance. There's a really high chance you won't need to be induced. Due dates are just an educated guess. Every day you go over is one step closer.

I went over 2 days....had a high water leak...they "started" very low pictocin but turned it off after 30 min because I started contracting on my own.

You can go to at 42 weeks without being induced..after that I think they MIGHT have to..I'm not saying it's gonna happen. Don't get induced because if they have to break your water for you in the hospital the cord might end up coming out of your cervix before the baby and both of you will be in danger and you're gonna end up with an emergency cesarean section. But GOOD LUCK mama!  I hope everything goes well with your delivery..who knows, you just might have him right on your EDD! hehe!

I went a week (by MY calender, 2 by drs dates) I wasn't induced.

Infact I went in one day for an over due appt. They told me they couldn't even talk about induction or I should just schedual a c-sec bc my cervix hadent even softened and therefor would never dialate.

I went home and had a baby naturally 2 days later.

It can cause problems, I would wait til 42 weeks to induce. I mean you already went 40, whats 2 more?

Only about a third of all the October mommies. There've been at least 10-15 of us who went over (up to 8 days is our longest so far) and none of us have needed to be induced yet. For myself, I was at 40w5d when I went naturally.

I went over by 6 days and went into labor naturally.

WELL MY DUE DATE IS TOMORROW BUT SHE DOESNT WONT TO COME OUT LOL SO MY MID-WIFE WONTS TO INDUCE ME ON THE 5TH I HOPE SHE DECIDES TO COME OUT BEFORE THEN. I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL!!!
