Is there one thing. .

that you really wish someone would have told you to pack in the hospital bag? I know there are the obvious things like the bringing home from the hospital outfit, pads, comfy pajamas, etc. but is there anything that no one told you about that you really could have used? I'm packing my bag tonight and I just want to make sure I have all of the most important stuff!

Books and magazines. My newborns slept alot and I don't watch TV.

Real food

really the food was so good.!

The only thing I was missing was shampoo and conditioner lol. I don't know why, but I never thought to pack it.
I used bar soap that the hospital had when I took a shower the first day.

Other than the other typical stuff, there's nothing really that I can think of.

My own pillow! Obvious I know, but I completely forgot.

Butthen again I didn't pack my bags because I went into labora few weeks early so I didn't have A LOT of the things I wanted. So kudos to you for packing early! Next time I definately will.

a body pillow. i couldn't get comfortable on the bed, I HATED that bed...so I slept on the pull out, instead. It wasn't the softest thing in the world but way better, anyhow..so I'm bringing one this time around.

  Very good suggestion on the pillow (and one for SO if he is staying with).

Things that I did have thatI was very greatful for.
Protein bars (great b/c they tried to force extra protien on my due to my desire to BF and these tasted better than their options),
Vasoline (remembered for the first, forgot for the second). As soon as you get your baby, take their diaper off, and smear vasoline all over their front and bum. Do this until all the meconium has passed through their system. It makes it so much easier to get off.

We brought 3 pillows! And I'm so glad we did. A couple for the hubs and one for me. The hospital ones here aren't the greatest.

My hospital's food is really good too. I wasn't allowed to eat for a day and a half though because I was induced.   That first meal was sooooooo delicious.

That's true, hospitals are always freezing! I can't understand why either. You would think it would be warmer with so many sick people who get cold easily.

a dr once told me that cold kills germs but i always that heat did lol...
