I was SO HOT when I was in labor with my son. I had to ask for a fan. But it was also August. Maybe it'll be different since it's getting cold.

As much as I HATE the cold, I think I would rather be a little cold than be that hot. I can't imagine being that hot while being in labor  !

I actually packed my bag the other night! I've got my comfy pajamas, I went to wal-mart and bought travel size shampoo, conditioner, tooth brush, toothpaste, and deodarant. I've got extra clothes in my bag for my baby just in case the ones in her diaper bag are either too big or too small (ya never know! lol plus I couldn't make up my mind on what to take) I've also got a few extra hair ties for my hair. I didn't pack pads b/c our hospital gives ya some. OOOHHH and don't forget a camera, batteries and your PHONE CHARGER!!! haha i had to run and get my bros and SIL chargers for them when she had my nephew! I also know some girls take their baby books they are doing for baby's first visitors to sign. I'm doing a scrap book instead so i'm taking that with me! Hope this helps

now that you mention good hospital food the hospital i delivered my first baby at gave us a free lobster dinner for the husband and i as a congrats on the new baby. of course wecompletely forgot to order it because we were too busy withour baby who was a preemie and in the NICU. we didnt even remember till we werehome a couple days later!

thats nice we were kinda kicking ourselves in the asses afterwards cus we totally didnt even remember it and we are both seafood lovers.

Thanks love <3! I almost forgot deodorant! That would have been horrible. I just know I am going to forget something and have to send someone back out. I always forget stuff.

-Chapstick.
-Phone charger, camera charger or extra batteries
-Gum or mints.
-Earplugs and an eyemask if you want to get a good nights rest while you are in early labor (unfortunately I didn't get to use mine because I didn't get an epi...but this next baby I'm planning on it!)
-Loose Pajamas and clothes that will fit your flabby post baby belly.

Same for me-- they gave me a mini-fan. I was sweating every where and my nurses, boyfriend, and mom were freezing lol.

I wish someone told me to pack shampoo/conditioner since my hospital didn't supply it. It was the only thing I didn't pack.

quarters for vending machines.... they can be life savers.... and bring clothes for your hubby.... and a blanket... it can get cold in there sometimes... and maybe a pillow for him too. make sure he's comfortable.... cause you'll be overwhelmed w/ comfort.
