computer help please

I went to boot up my desktop just now, well it does the windows xp screen and dell screen, but once its done loading through dell it goes to this screen where it says it was not able to load my computer, so to choose safe mode or regular windows xp... i tried regular again and then safe mode, but still keeps going back to that screen. Last night my computer froze so i shut it down, but usually it is fine. I am not sure why it is doing this or how to fix the problem since it wont let me past this the screen.
Dont ask how im online then lol i have a laptop.

ETA- there ar eno viruses, i do the screening everyday and i did one yesturday afternoon.

Is the screen blue?

You might have to reformat your computer. You would need your windows disk for that though.

You could have a virus on your computer. If it keeps doing it, you might have to reformat anyways.

Did you register XP? I had this problem with DF's dad's computer.

this happened to me recently.

call dell support, they're pretty decent and helped me trouble shoot it and figure out what was wrong.

with me, it was spyware on my computer... not from me, needless to say, the nannysitter is no longer allowed on the computer

okay i will when i get home from work tonight or tomarrow morning...we are buying a new one soon anyways however i do not want hubby to kill me when he gets home around x-mas to see his computer broken lo l
