contractions?

posted 27th Oct
I had my membranes stripped yesterday afternoon. Since then I have had really strong period-like cramps. These are due to the membrane stripping and aren't contractions, right? Advice?

That is what my contractions felt like. They kind of had a wraparound effect; they started on my sides and went inwards.

Thats how my contractions always start out... they feel like period cramps... walk around and see if they get any stronger and closer together, if they do then its definitely early labor contractions! Good luck!!!!

Thank you!! They just hurt really low. And especially bad when I move. I don't want to get my hopes up thought if it's not really the start of labor....

mine felt like period pains with an added kick, even from the beginning. but i knew they were contractions, everyone says you just know, for me it was definitely true....well actually they started at 3am and i had quite a few weeks of waking up then with stomach cramps so i thought it was just thatt only they didnt go after i peed which they usually did, then i knew. i didnt have a sweep either though
