why do they have "next step" formula?

posted 27th Oct
I got a coupon in the mail for a next step formula ages 10-36 months. Why do they make this? What is the point of having your LO on this, shouldn't they be on milk? I'm just curious and wanted to know. And why does it start at 10 months?

I never used it with my 1st son. I think it's just extra nutrition but they get that from foods. Maybe just a way for them to make more money.

It' for kids who can't handle the real stuff. Or who need extra vitamins. I've never seen anyone use it, 'cept for my friend, but her daughter was born at 22 weeks, so I kinda didn't ask too many questions.

We witched to whole milk at 11 months.

Typically alot of toddlers can be picky eaters.
Also, just another marketing strategy

I had my daughter on it for a little bit.
She HATED whole milk.
Now, she's off it, she LOVES whole milk now lol.
Took us awhile though.

Next Step has different types of nutrients in order to supplement the regular food your baby is eating at that stage.

Addy was on Next Step from 8 months until 13 months because I didn't know how much nutrients she was getting from her milk and her food, so I wanted to make sure that she got the stuff she needed.

I had put my son onto it and our Dr. told me to take him off it and just put him on milk. So I am not really sure why they make it.

It's like a transitional thing for toddlers who have problems digesting whole milk.

See when I got the coupon it got me thinking. My son is 10 months and doesn't eat well. He'll eat 1 solids meal a day and then its just snacks. And his formula of course.

Yup!   my daughter had been on it since 12 months, I took her off at 20 months, all though I feel bad I should keep her on til ATLEAST 2.

I would have kept Adrianna on it longer, but she was already a chunker butt so the doctor suggested limiting her milk intake, giving her a lot of wholesome foods, and if she had an iron deficiencies or issues, we would start giving her flintstone vitamins.
