Now we have to start all over :*(

posted 26th Oct
We did not get good news today. I'd had light bleeding the past couple of days, and slightly heavier last night and so I went in to see my OB today, which was the first time I'd been in since finding our we were pregnant. When they did the u/s they saw no evidence of any gestational sac, and both my tubes/ovaries were empty and healthy. From that image, and the fact that the biggest clot I passed was about the size of a pea, the estimate that my embryo wasn't viable past about 6 weeks. I feel so sad and frustrated and I don't know ...confused and defeated. Why did my boobs JUST start getting bigger? Why was I still getting nausea spells? I guess my body just had a belated reaction to the hormones. The worst thing is how into I got, and that I let myself tell so many people. A mean, only about 15 including our families, but now I have to tell them all it's over. And it makes me almost sick to think about how much planning and even people-telling happened after my baby was already gone and I didn't even know it. I am already looking at some bright spots (next time I'll have insurance and can see the OB sooner, next time I will already be more educated going into it, next time I'll know to keep my mouth shut a little longer) but it just hurts so much right now.

Thank you everyone. My large glass of red wine and my wonderful husband will get me through the night...not sure about tomorrow, but each day is it's own step I guess.

I would have someone else tell them. Have your best friend tell your other friends, have your mom tell your family. I haven't even told the BD yet :[ It's hard to help other people deal with it when you don't know how to deal with it yourself.

I just went through a very similar thing about 2 months ago, except they could see the gestational sac but no baby.I was about 9 weeks along. They said it was a mole pregnancy. I too wanted to know why I continued to have morning sickness and other symptoms. It was difficult, especially explaining to people what happened. But now 2 months later I am 8 weeks pregnant and the baby is healthy. Something good usually comes to help you through the bad. Hang in there...things will get better for you I promise.

Thanks for the message of hope! I'm finally feeling a bit better today, and was able to hang out with various people without feeling that totally caught up in my own head with what happened.

I'm going to try very hard to wait a couple of months before we get pregnant again, I've heard that having at least 1 regular period again after a mc shows your body is back to its healthiest. But, since we'll be using condoms for the first time in 7 years, it might be a little hard to be consistent...
