Quoting ♥ Mommy 2 Be:“ Thats true...they cant discriminate against pregnant women....but my fiance just doesnt want me to work ... [snip!] ... remember those days when I worked at Best Buy...UGH! IT WAS CRAZY! I couldnt stand it....Working late nights and all...”
i know what you mean. I worked at target as an operator during my first pregnancy. I had one lady get pissed because i wouldn't let her into the MENS fitting rooms with her husband and son. She called me a fat bitch (which i didn't hear, but the other 4 team members standing around me did). They told me to stand up and when she saw i was pregnant she stomped off. some people are just cruel....
I work at Fedex Office (formerly kinkos) and i sometimes get real assholes. But i try not to let it bother me. I'm more of a kill em with kindness type of person. I just laugh it off rather than let it bother me. And i also have every right to throw them out of my store if they cuss or get loud with me (which i won't hesitate to do)Plus since i live in a semi-small town alot of the people i get are regulars and won't hesitate to step in if a conflict begins with someone, and they will make them leave also.i also have a great manager who tries to work around my pregnancy, since i can't lift alot of the packages and packing peoples stuff hurts my back. I don't know what i'd do if he wasn't my manager....
