health insurance!

so im already almost 6 weeks prego and i havent went to the doctor yet because i dont have health insurance does anyone know of any good health insurance or anything that wont take a month to kick in? cause you cant go to the doctor without it right?

Have you applied for Medicaid? If so, you can go to the doctor and they will cover it even though the application is still processing....

try to get one through your work or medicaid

Call around to see if a Dr will see you firs t then bill your insurance when it kicks in.

I didn't even see the doctor until 11 weeks. Get good insurance if you can afford it, waiting to see a doctor wont hurt you.

Most insurances won't cover your pregnancy if you are already pregnant....there are some out there for just pregnancy.....

Call a doctor and see if they will hlp you apply for medicaid. Dont try to do it yourself, it is a freaking pain in the ass. It gets done a lot faster if you do it through the doctor.

Okay she never said she need medicaid. If she can pay the bills she doesn't need it. I personally can't tell you an insurance because I have tricare. You can certainly look them up & compare them. I know its confusing but like another said you can check the benefits you get through work.

That is why I'm on state insurance when the rest of my family is covered through my SO's work. lol

Oh it makes life SO MUCH easier lol. I hate the fucking DES office. I had no idea what to do when I found out I aws pregnant with Kailee. I went to planned parenthood, they gave me a list of doctors taht would help me, I called them and the girl told me what to bring. I brought it all in and she basically applied for me and it was approved so fast it was unbeleivable.

I already had Medical(CA medicaid) when I found out I was pregnant with Adiran..Thank God.lol
When I applied in MT when we moved here it took like 3 weeks..Wasn't that big of a pain.lol

Ya well i got an application for Medicaid but i was hoping i could just go to the office they have in town and see if i could get approved faster there cause i heard it takes sometimes a month for insurance to actually kick in and i dont wanna just wait longer to go to the doctor cause i want to make sure im doing everything right and make sure the baby is ok i just read so much stuff on here i get so worried.. So they have the free clinic over here so im going to go to that tmrw and see wat they can do until i can find some insurance ughh this is a pain in the but dealing with insurance

I was approved for Medicaid in April and they paid all of my bills through Dec. 2008.
