So confused! Help!

posted 26th Oct
I'm so confused, if you use playtex drop ins and know ANYTHING about the standard liners (NOT the preformed liners) please help me! I bought these liners because I plan on using playtex drop ins, and unlike the preformed liners (the ones you don't have to fold over the bottle, they just sit right atop it) these standard liners say "ideal for breastmilk storage." So I figured these bags would seal and I could freeze them, they say "a pure, clean way to safely store breastmilk in refrigerator or freezer." but the picture on the box makes the bag look like it doesn't seal. Can anyone help me with this confusion? I want to avoid opening the box to look at them in case I have to return it!

And here's a link so you know which liners I'm talking about:

I used something like that and you have to roll up the bag and put tape on it to hold it closed. They don't zip or anything. I used them for a while though and they work pretty good.

i use playtex nursers and the bags do not zip or close or anything you have to buy the storage caps that goes on the whole bottle and you take the caps off and put on the nipple and ring

Dammit. Okay. So the bags themselves don't seal, you have to tape them closed before freezing?

It is so frustrating to me that the box would say "a pure, clean way to safely storebreastmilk in refrigerator or freezer" if the bags won't seal. I bought them thinking that the bags will seal and then I can take them out, thaw them, and just drop them in a bottle.

Thank you so much I'm glad I'm finding this out before opening the box expecting to get a liner that I can freeze. The preformed liners can you still squeeze to get the air out?

Thank you! Yeah after looking at all sorts of bottles the Playtex drop ins looked like the best for reducing gas, plus they seemed to be the closest to mimicking breastfeeding, which I hope will make it easier for him when he needs to take a bottle instead of the breast while I'm on campus! Thanks for replying!
