Quoting missespeterson: I'm so confused, if you use playtex drop ins and know ANYTHING about the standard liners (NOT the preformed ... [snip!] ... seal. Can anyone help me with this confusion? I want to avoid opening the box to look at them in case I have to return it!And here's a link so you know which liners I'm talking about:
Quoting peachychick23: I used something like that and you have to roll up the bag and put tape on it to hold it closed. They don't zip or anything. I used them for a while though and they work pretty good.Dammit. Okay. So the bags themselves don't seal, you have to tape them closed before freezing?
Quoting Mommy 2Miracles: i use playtex nursers and the bags do not zip or close or anything you have to buy the storage caps that goes on the whole bottle and you take the caps off and put on the nipple and ringIt is so frustrating to me that the box would say "a pure, clean way to safely storebreastmilk in refrigerator or freezer" if the bags won't seal. I bought them thinking that the bags will seal and then I can take them out, thaw them, and just drop them in a bottle.
Quoting Mommy 2Miracles: they dont im sorry i used them and they alot of times busted when you shook them my sister had that problem ... [snip!] ... all the time i didnt because i only used the 1 box i had and then started using the preformed ones. but the bottles are awesomeThank you so much I'm glad I'm finding this out before opening the box expecting to get a liner that I can freeze. The preformed liners can you still squeeze to get the air out?
Quoting summerbabyX2: buy the playtex nursers starter pack of bottles and they have the rings and seals in them, I love the drop-ins!!!Thank you! I'll look into that!
Quoting Mommy 2Miracles: the preformed one you can get the air out. i do thats all i use i tried the nuks w my daughter and they ... [snip!] ... the best. and thats all i use w my son the starter pack is about 18.00 adn you get 6bottles i want to say and its awesome,Thank you! Yeah after looking at all sorts of bottles the Playtex drop ins looked like the best for reducing gas, plus they seemed to be the closest to mimicking breastfeeding, which I hope will make it easier for him when he needs to take a bottle instead of the breast while I'm on campus! Thanks for replying!
