maternity belly button rings? yes or no...

well I've got my belly button pierced, my obgyn told me I can get this special belly button ring so it won't tear or whatever it would do with the original one I have in now (standard 14g) and I was just wondering if any of you had this dilemma too? I found some on this site maternitypiercings.com, I just want to know whats a better bet (for my stomach to look as normal as it can post pregnancy, ha) and if those are safe?

I got one with my last pregnancy and I am using this one as well. I love it. It stopped having a nasty scar and stuff!

Oh and I left it in for my whole pregnancy with my son. Delivery and all. The doctor said if need be they could always cut it being that it is plastic.

I wish I could help you out, but unfortunately I never had to use my maternity ring. But they seemed really safe, they're flexible. If I could find mine, I would mail it to you because I never used it!

My doctor hasn't told me anything about my navel ring. But I do take itout once in a while because it hurts. I left it out for a couple days and when I tried to put it back in it got infected (after ten years the whole started to close). But he (doctor) is chomping at the bit for me to take out my hood piercing. I told him no that I would take it out when I go intolabor

ya i found some online, they have a real cute one that has a "baby on board" diamond as the like dangly thing off the end, with the plastic bar, totally gettin that! haha

you can wear the maternity belly ring the whole pregnancy and they won't give you any trouble
