2 weeks old

My son was 10 pounds at birth.
I give him 2 oz to eat(every 2hrs) but hes still hungry
I heard babies his size should eat 5 oz but my doctor told me to give him 2 becauseif i give him more i will fatten him up[my doctor lets it all out]  
what do i do?

IMO I would feed him more if he's still hungry!

If he is hungry, than feed him! F what the doctors says! Especially if his reasoning is because it will fatten him up  

My son was only 8 lb 4 oz at birth, but he was over 13 pounds by 4 weeks old. He was ebfed and I nursed him on demand. Meaning when he was hungry, I nursed him!

Feed that baby!!

If he is still hungry after 2 ounces try giving him a little more .
But be sure he has burped ,He could be crying from needing a burp.
But five ounces is a bit much for a two week old.

i would feed him more....dont overfeed him but if he is hungry i would feed him more!

You feed him until he isn't hungry.

Don't starve the poor child.

Feed him more.

By 2 months of age my son was eating 10 oz at each sitting and wasn't satisfied. Doc told me to start rice cereal. Now that's he's 21 months he's over 3 feet tall and about 38 lbs. He's the size of a 3 year old basically. Sounds to me like he's just gonna be a big boy.Most babies are fat until they start walking anyway especially the formula fed ones.

I'd be looking for a new pedi. He won't over eat. If he is hungry, feed him.
