In honor of my due date, yesterday. -poem-

****for those of you who don't know, my son was a preemie at 30w****
It never gets old:
How many times he pee's on me, I just laugh
All the late night snuggling and cuddling
All the late night feedings
All the clothes shopping with him in the cart and him smiling up at me

Remember when you were in the NICU? All sick and weak? Mommy was right there holding you tight. We persevered and prayed. We watched the oxygen masks get lifted off you're soft beautiful skin, we saw that wonderful pink color. Then you came home and saw you're sisters and family. Mommy was so tired so we both went right up into bed, we slept for hours. Then you woke up, you scared mommy but that cry you have. That beautiful cry brings tears to my eyes each in every time. I love you baby. I always will. You are my baby boy, my only boy. Not that I don't love you sisters, I do all equally but you are my baby boy. My fighter, my protector. I love you Evan!

He was in for long 8 weeks

awww. well the 4 days ayden was in there was the LONGEST 4 days of my life i couldnt dream of how 8 weeks would be. but im glad hes home and doing good.

Aww sweeet, I can safely say I spent more time at the NICU than I did at home when my son was born, I'd pass out on the sofa in the SCN next door most of the time.

I'd wake up with a blanket over me xD the nurses rocked so hard.
