Quoting Brittany :-): I am in the process of writing my birth plan.. I know things will probably not go as planned but we can ... [snip!] ... some of the things they found important.. and if their doctors and nurses followed their plan as much as possible. Thanks

Quoting Addisons Momma!: honestly.... i would know YOURSELF and let anyone who is going to be there any specifics about what ... [snip!] ... there with you who knows can.... and leave it at that. birth plans are kinda pointless, IMO. not trying to be insulting.Well I should of posted this.. there is a possibility that no one will be there at the time so I want it to be written down. I know most of what I want but since this is my first time I want to make sure I did not forget anything.

Quoting Due with #2 in 01-2010: They are not pointless in all cases. Even if she just has one for herself to remind herself of what ... [snip!] ... actually read your birth plan and make suggestions to add to it. They follow it as closely as they can. It is really nice.
Quoting Kim [team blue]: what exactly is the birth plan? what do you plan? just curious, i forgot to ask acouple of days ago
Quoting Becky&Bill [Team Blue]: i really hope youre right. i tried talking to my OB about mine and as soon as i mentioned 'birth plan' ... [snip!] ... keep it to myself because nothing ever goes as planned and a birth plan is more for me than for the doctors. i was so mad!!
Quoting Due with #2 in 01-2010: Mine doesnt have much about the "actual birth" more for myself to keep me away from pain meds and what ... [snip!] ... meds and what I want after the baby is born. I typed mine out on an above post. The after birth part, is VERY important to me.yeah yours looks pretty much exactly like mine, except i have more on it. and she was negative about me not wanting an epidural too. i really dont even want her there.

But there is no way in hell the nurses will read it all. So I condensed it. The rest of it, my doula and I will have the long one and we can make decisions upon that aswell.
