5wk PP after stillbirth

On Thursday I had my 5wk PP check up. I was really kindda scared to be honest. I don't know why thou, I just was. So...I got there, went into my exam room, nurse told me that I was in for a PAP Smear (yeahh!) and that Doctor will be with me shortly...well shortly took 30mins, and I am sitting in a cold room with no pants on!

Finally she came in, and we talked about Morgan. She said that she has never meet someone who had a baby with 69 chromosomes, she's read about them, but has never had a patient that had one. So I guess I am her first! She also explained to me that she thinks MY egg was the one that screwed up at fertilization. Reasoning being, is that there were 3 'X's (XXX). But she said unless she was there during fertilization, we will never know.

Aside from all the birth defects, Morgan's organs were perfect. Her heart, stomach, lungs, everything!! My doctor thinks that I could have carried her much longer, even to term. But sadly Morgan would have only lived for a few minutes to several hours after delivery. Ultimately, what took Morgan's life was the cord wrapped around her neck. Our family thinks its was and 'Act of God.'

Also, she said that Gentic Counseling could possibly help us, the choice is up to us. And personally, we beleive that God will give us a child that we deserve, no matter what the outcome.

My doctor continued with cervial exam and said the I was definitely about to have my period. (and I knew that, and strangely enough AF came today! lol) She also did a PAP Smear, she wasn't going to but since I have cerival problems in the past she wanted to make sure everything was okay down there. And that, she told me that if Mitch and I wanted to start TTC in November we could. I said 'ahh-no! we will wait until Spring. Thank you very much!' I didn't expect her to say that, I was thinking we were gonna have to wait until next September to TTC.

We talked about what she will do in my future pregnancies. She said that when I come in HCG levels will be taken, and then again, 2 days later, to make sure that my body is doing what it is supposed to. Also every 2-3wks she wants me to have an ultrasound done to make sure that baby is growing properly and has a strong heartbeat. And she will do that until 20-24wks depending when I get lots of movement from the baby.

I am getting really excited for another baby, but for now we get to think about our May Wedding!!!

I got my duaghters autopsy results last week and she had 3 X's as well, they said that meant she had turners syndrome....

first i just want to say im sorry to hear about ur daughter what a presious angel. and also congratualtions on your upcoming wedding! ive been really into the tv show say yes to the dress on TLC do you know what gown your going to get?

omg yes i got my gown few wks before i found out i was pregnant back in April.
This is me in it. I know its more 'womany' than 'young adult' but it made be feel so good.

Your dress looks GORGEOUS on you!!! You must be SO EXCITED!

And we went for genetic councelling after our son was born. All they will do is go over your family history and try and find out where the 'genetic mutation' may have originated from and what the odds are of it happening again (which can be very, very comforting if nothing else) and offer you a little more insight as to what happened with Morgan.

My daughter passed away from Turner's Syndrome.

It's going to go by so fast. My sister got married in Aug and she started planning a year before and it seemed to have flashed by so fast.
