and about the BF...many babies are formula-fed, and you can get really good formula's now...and in one way it also has a big + ...the babie will sleep more,and through the night-you just give her the bottle...
i know i have two friends (neighbours) and they gave birth one month apart but had the same DD, one was BF and one FF.... the FF's son sleeps longer thrpough the night, and started to sleep through it sooner, so... why not.

i bet its just super hard having one toddler and a baby and being awake every 2 hours and going through the pain...

Dont you dare feel bad for this yes there are advasntages to BM and BF but the advantages of having a calm happy momma far outweigh those, You have tried, she has been given 2 weeks of the BM goodness and got that initial immune boost, but you dont just have her to think about, you have Daniel aswell and yourself... If it is really that hard for you then you are doing what is best for you..... I couldn't BF my first for more than 6 weeks, with my second I tried and it just didnt work this time I have managed to do it but if it had been as hard for me as it had for you then I would have switched long time ago......

Sorry you are having trouble. She had your colostrum for 2 weeks so that's better than nothing. FF has it's benefits too.

If your heart is not into it, you are not going to want to do it. I commend you for trying and I challenge you to try to hold on for TWO MORE WEEKS. Really, it's not much longer in the whole scheme of things. Your breastfeeding relationship will grow and change. Once a proper breastfeeding relationship is established, it's the easiest thing in the world.

Do I have to triple dog dare you? C'mon... 2 weeks. I'm going on almost 1 year with the twins, surely you can do 1 month with 1 baby.

I would... but i really didn't want to in the first place. i only tried b/c my dh asked me too. and it sucks.   so you are right about that, my heart just isn't in it.

Ahh, nothing like laying on the guilt trip...

I BFed for almost a week, then switched to Similac Advance. My LO loves it, and she barely ever spits up or has a lot of gas. I'd definitely recommend it.

I suggest giving it another 2 weeks, only bc it took me till about 4-5 weeks to get comfortable, and now I am SO glad I didnt quit.

But, if you do stop, thats okay too. Like someone else said, dont let anyone make you feel bad about it. You tried. Having a happy, healthy mama is very important to your LO.
