Im nervous about Christmas as well. Aidan will be 4 months on December 1st, and I have ZERO intention of even considering it. I totally expect my dad to give him mashed potatoes right off his plate if I dont watch him closely enough.

I started my daughter several times but she wasn't ready until 6/7 months so I kept delaying it - at 21 months she eats and digests just about everything, she's no different than infants who were started at 4 months.

Recently a woman posted about stopping solids with her daughter because her daughter was having trouble digesting them and had colic at night - she was flat out nervous about posting because she thought people would jump her for starting and then stopping solids! She really could have used this thread

Don't I know it. I'm so happy I wasn't really around my dad's family when Will was starting solids. It's bad enough that when we visit they pump him full of junk food and Mountin Dew now. They were sneak feeding my sister mashed potatoes at barely a month old!
