Welcome   glad you found us.. it's good to have a great support system behind you when you decide to delay.

Hang in there! Its tough during days like that, but they will pass. I won't judge you for using formula, but remember it can affect your nursing relationship. I'm sure you're producing plenty of milk, a growth spurt can making pump hard. *Hugs*

I don't think there's anything wrong! Beth (Cartman's) daughter is like that or was from what I understand. She isn't breastfed but she'd eat all her solids and suck down bottle after bottle. He's probably going through a growth spurt.

Yes. Night sleep can be anywhere from 4/5 hr stretches to a full 11 hr night. Last night he gave us 12, and only woke up in pain from his teeth twice. He just wanted a binkie and went right back out in seconds.

He literally just nursed, ate a bowl of sweet potatoes AND a bowl of oatmeal for dinner, and then 45 minutes later nursed again. WTF????

He just turned 6 months, right? Another girlfriend of mine who has a 6 month old was going through the same a couple weeks ago. She was really worried because Angie was eating like 3 solid "meals" plus a snack PLUS nursing after every snack. Her mom's group on livejournal suggested it was a growth spurt. I just checked in with her and she whatever it was has passed. Alice wasn't eating solids at 6 months, but she went from nursing every 3-4 hours to nursing every 45-60 minutes during her 6 month growth spurt. I thought I would die of exhaustion. I know it stinks because it is literally very draining, but hang in there! Your milk is fine. Its just like we tells those moms who are wanting to start solids early because their baby is taking bottle after bottle or is at the breast all day long: Aiden just needs a little extra right now. You're doing everything right. *hugs*

I'm there!

I didn't want to comment at first because a friend of mine showed us the link on another thread I'm in and everyone was like, "awwwwww!" I didn't realize so many mommas I know on here feel this way about feeding solids before 6 months

I just jumped in too. I had a friend tell me the same thing once. She started solids pretty early with her babyand she was like "OMG my baby can feed itself, sooooo smart!" and I was thinking, "Um, no your baby is putting things in their mouth, just like every other baby in the entire world!"

Dex has been showing a great interest in food and eating lately and that combined with completing the solid readiness checklist I've decided to occasionally give him a few baby safe finger foods and see how it goes. We're still taking things slow, and we'll just see how things go from here
