This is not the same as the other post. I only included some of the same info, but it clearly serves another purpose, as stated in the OP. We have heard your complaint, seriously please move along and let us have our safe place.

lol seriously, I think I want to delay a bit, but I don't know how long. Honestly, it will be so FUN to start solids...but it's also fun to breastfeed. So I can handle waiting. I think I might start cereal at 7 months or so. Maybe 8.

And thats EXACTLY why we need a place like this. Its got to be so rough to have people tell you how much you are "starving" your child all the time. I have someone who thinks Im nuts for not supplementing with forumla. I cant wait to see what she will say when I delay my solids.

Exactly. Sorry but this post has great info and I like the fact that it's a "support" topic. There is still so little support out there for moms who choose to delay... and people can be just so misinformed about why it's better to do so. Instead of, you know, shoving strawberry cheesecake pudding down your 3 month old's throat.

You know, everyone thinks starting solids is so fun. It's fun like...the first time. Maybe the second. Then it's just a big messy PITA process. lol

Making your own food does help a bit though

I havent decided yet. The truth? I would LOVE to. But my health has been more limiting than I expected. My house goes to smurf these days, I hardly cook anything for MYSELF even, let alone my husband. Im ashamed to say I only get to shower once or twice a week, because every break I get is spent SLEEPING, and those are really rare. I dont know if I would find the time.

i do have a question for you acutally it says that its reccomended starting solids at 6 months so how is that delaying solids? wouldnt that just be starting them on time?? or are u gonna wait longer then 6 months? maybe a dumb question lol didnt know if i was misunderstanding something.

That's so my inlaws. Ugh. They think 10 months of breastfeeding is excessive, we should start on formula as soon as possible. I can't even have conversations with them about parenting, invariably I just get mad, and I don't want to strain any relationships. Lest I slip and say that I'm not the only one who feels they've made a lot of wrong decisions.
