is it safe to bleach your hair while pregnant?

i want to be blonde again, and i dont see why it would be so bad to bleach your hair? anyone have any facts or suggestions?

Its fine though, I did it. Just make sure you open the windows, & dont drink the bleach.

It gets absorbed into your skin, goes through your bloodstream. I say no, rather a HELL no, because bleach is bad for a fetus. But there are arguements saying its ok as long as you don't get it on your skin, and others say its a horrible poisn taht can have serious harmful effects on your developing child.
Whatever is your choice.

You can DYE your hair though. No bleachie bleach.

I get mine done. The safe way to do it is if you get foils, or get it done through a cap. As long as the bleach doesn't touch your scalp. My grandma has her own salon and she does mine like that and it safe, just don't try to do it at home it might come out orange with box color because of the hormones in your body and your hair changing

Do you read? Anything that is a teratogen (which is something that is bad for you, pollution, chemicals, things like that) effect the development of your baby.

Bleach isn't good for you regardless prego or not prego. It's wouldn't be smart to bleach ur hair while prego and trust me you don't want to smell that bleach its not healthy and it willl turn you off. So you're better off waiting.

Do you know how old that is?? There's old info from years ago. They make organic hair dye now and as long as your in a well vehnilated salon and the bleach doesn't touch your scalp it's ok. And hair bleach has changed over the years, the kind in the salon smells like blueberrys I use

LOL yes considering I have the college BOOK it came out of in front of me. 2007. Now do you want to tell me that my Dev Psych class is teaching me the wrong stuff, since you KNOW everything? Didn't think so.

As far as hair products go I do know. I'm not saying all the other crap isn't bad like smog and bathroom cleaner that's too diffrent things miss lady.

Not really, chemicals are chemicals. If you're going to do something at least KNOW what you are talking about. It may NOT kill your fetus, but it sure as hell can have some developmental effect that you are unaware of.
