mirena?.

really didnt know where to post this..

im gettin mirena done, i just have to wait till my period starts again..
i was just wonderin for u ladies who gots mirena,how it was, do u like it, and how long did it hurt, if it did, and did u bleed? all ladies r different so i just wanted to know how many ppl had the same stories.
im scared its gonna hurt, my doc did a pap smear at my 6week checkup and that hurt so im thinkin stickin somethin into my uterous* is gonna hurt even more!!

I just got mine last Thursday. So far I LOVE it. It really didn't hurt that bad. Take some motrin before you go and after you get it and you'll feel better.

I started bleeding yesterday so we'll see how long it lasts  

My insertion wasn't too bad it was similar to a rough pap and it only takes 15 seconds.... but I still haven't stopped spotting completely. I go for 2 days with nothing and think I'm done, and then BAM there it goes again! It's been 5 and a half weeks. Just make sure you trust your doctor, don't go to a clinic or anything....All the scary/bad side effects that everyone will try to scare you with are caused by a bad insertion!

im not going to lie to you it does hurt a little. i had dizzyness for the first hour, and cramps for 2 days. i did bleed for 2 days, but it wasn't much, i just had pantyliners and i was fine. i have heard a lot of people that dont like it. i however do, i have had no problems at all, and my OBGYN let me get it before my period. honestly i have not had my period since 2 months before i found out i was pregnant, and my LO is 10 months old. I love it.

Oh and if you have to go number one or two it really starts to cramp up. Because it's smooshing it.

I never got one (just freaked me out too much), but one of my friends did and she was recently in the hospital. it lacerated her uterus and she ended up having surgery, and she had it for two years with nothing wrong

i went to the doc and she wanted me to wait till i start again. she suggested i get it done bc the shot makes u gain weight- n i deff dont want that to happen- and im not good at takin pills at all!! hummm.. idk whatt to do!
