My grandmother told me the wrong sex, fabulous, I feel idiotic now.

Riley(the baby) isn't doing so hot, i am not sure whats going on, but apparently its bad. Her grandfather couldn't even tell us without tearing up!
He should let us know tomorrow if she is okay or not. I'll post as soon as I know!

I'm so worried, I get all teary thinking about it

We found out that Riley has an infection of some kind. They are doing a spinal tap (i think), and think she may have spinal bifida. They moved her to All Childrens Hospital, which I think it for the best, They have one of the best neonatal wards in this county.
I am so worried!

Oh the poor thing, is therea chance she might have meningitis? I know they do a spinal tap to check for that too.

I'm not really sure, she needed a blood transfusion though. I forgot to add that

Blood transfusion isnt a huge thing, Anya had to have one too, its actually a normal thing for preemies.

Being able to correspond with you about it makes me feel so much better about it though!

She sounds like a real fighter, when Anya was in the hospital, I saw a lot of babies get real sick, thinking they wouldn't make it, and they would be home just a couple weeks later. Please feel free to ask me anything, I don't mind sharing any of my experience, if anything I want to use what I went through to help others through it.

Riley is okay!
She weighs 2lbs 6oz and is now at the halfway mark for coming home!

Oh thats great!! I am so happy, she will continue to be in my prayers until she is home where she belongs!
