LMAO...I miss all of those things too!
I don't know if you ever tried one but I loved going to the Turkish eateries and ordering a DonerCabab...yummy!!
The clubs were the most kick'n than I have ever seen im my life...nothing in the states can compare to those!!
I was hard for me to adjust to the Interstate speeds here...The autobahn was dangerous but great when you needed to get to and from!!!

well i am full blood german and i grew up there...i only went to the states for vacation until i moved here last year with my husband...
im not a big fan of the doeners...never was...hubby loves them and my parents love them...
but i really really love the chicken doener...well its more like a huge fried chicken patty in a doener bread with lots n lots of salad and the doener cheese and sauce on it....soooooo yummie...
oh and i really really miss good pizza...
i have only eaten pizza here in the states twice, bc nothing tastes anything like the real italian pizzas that im used to

the clubs - omg...i have not found ANYTHING like them here in the states...i mean cmon...in the states they close at like 2am...thats when i go to the club in germany xD
not to mention the size of most clubs in germany compared to the ones here....lol

and i dont think the autobahn is that dangerous, im actually very sure, that there are less accidents than here in the states...id have to research that but i thought i hears that on tv in some documentary in germany...not sure...
but u gotta think - there is a huggggeeee difference between how we germans have to get our license and how americans get it...
we have to actually go to school for it and over 2000 euros later we might get it if we pass the tests....lol

Wow, that is so cool...I had no clue that you were German!

Yes, that is the shitty part about the states clubs....close way to early. But I guess it's all the more reason to get started early!!

As for the autobahn...statistics might show a difference but when it comes down to it...if your going at a high rate of speed and need to slow down fast, you could lose control...very dangerous for that reason.

OMG the process to get a license there is totally hectic. Actually, my sister studied for it for about a week and didn't pass her first test. She studied for it again for another week and passed. Maybe they have different requirments being it that she was an American citezen married to a soldier?

I would do anything to go back there again! My son actually has a half brother that lives in Bayern, I think it is. They might meet someday!

of course, the speed that u go on the autobahn can cause bigger crashes, but overall, people drive safer in germany then here...

about the license part - when u have an american license and try getting a german one, that different - then u only have to take the written test and if u pass - there you go! lol

i think its stupid though bc we got like 100000 signs that the states dont have and stick shift cars and in germany ur not allowed to turn right on red and what not...

i already know when i go home for vacation and drive around, i will most likly at least once turn right on red....xD
