if u pump , cuz u have to work, once ur lil one start sleeping thru the night, do u wake up in the middle of the night to pump ?
i feel like maybe i should do that ... my boobs never feel hard anymore when i wake up, and when i pump i used to be able to pump like 4ozs out of 1 boob, now its like 2 ! .. i can only pump b4 i go to work at like 6, then when i go on lunch at 11. then at 3 .. and once i come home around 430 ill usually giv eher my boob. theres no issue with my husband not having enough milk in the fridge usually, but im def pumping out alot less?

my son started sleeping through the night at about 6 months and I did not get up in the middle of the night to pump. Sometimes I would pump before bed if I didn't pump enough during the workday.
My supply adjusted and I am not rockhard full in the morning anymore but I do have enough for my son. My supply during the day now at 9 months isn't what it was at 6 months. However, as your LO gets older, they start to nurse less and slowly your milk decreases. It's all just part of the process.
I don't know how old your LO is but advice is going to be so different for those pumping for a 3 month old or less, a 3-6 months old and a 6-9 month old and a 9-12 and beyond month old. Each period of breastfeeding is just so different from the last.

when i first went back to work, i was waking up throughout the night to pump but once he turned 4 months old, i started giving him 1 bottle of formula only 3 times a week so it was virtually none but i needed to get a bit more sleep to be productive at work.

also, i read in a breastfeeding book that between 2-6 oz in normal for a pumping session. remember your baby is more efficient then the pump! But I hear you, when I first went back to work, I pumped 6-7 oz on my lunch break, now I only pump between 4-6.

Good Luck!!

If Alice goes more than 4 hours without eating, I start to get engorged. I can feel every time it starts filling up. Its so weird. lol

But I would pump at night when she starts sleeping through, just to keep my supply up. I think thats whey moms start to dry up when the baby starts to drink less.

I only pump when he eats.

I feed him in the morning before work at about 8, then I pump at about 11-ish when he eats a bottle with his dad, then I bf at lunch around 1:30, pump at 4, then bf at 6 when I get home. I dont wake up to pump, bc he doesnt eat in the middle of the night. THats just what makes sense to me.

I am pumping less than I did when I first started, but I attribute that to my breast regulating themselves to his schedule. He is gaining great, and has the correct number of wet/soiled diapers, and thats the most important thing.
