more than likely a dumb question...lol

posted 22nd Oct
Has anyone's water broken from coughing too much, too hard for so long? Lol dumb I know...
But it feels like this kid is going to fall out when I cough (I have to cross my legs lol)... And my worry-wart self can't help but worry about this because of how dilated, effaced, and how low she is already...
(for those that don't know I'm 3-4cm, 70-100%, and her head is super low.)

Like I said, probably a stupid question... But I can't help but worry and wonder...

All replies welcome.

I've never heard of it happening but maybe? lol If you cough really hard I'm sure it could wiggle something loose.

When are they going to realize that they should probably keep you in the hospital?
I would be nervous like you, especially how your circumstances are. What if you do go in labor and she comes SUPER fast? Did you ask em about that? Of course Im not trying to scare you love, just curious.

I was 4cm and 80% effaced with contractions doing squats on a yoga ball when my water broke. Not sure if coughing would break the water but you never know.

Asyia- I know you are excited about trick or treating, but like I told Olivia, you have next year to do all that, and next year you will actually be able to go out and do it. Do you really want to spend Halloween in the hospital?

Veronica- I couldn't resist leaving her a message.  I actually wonder if that could happen too. I heard one lady say she was pushing to have a bm and her water broke, but I don't know if that's true or not. She was a strange one and her kiddo was actually born while she was on the potty.   I guess you should just keep crossing your legs and hope it doesn't happen. And don't feel silly, I doubt anyone on this site, unless they are a doctor, knows everything there is to know about pregnancy, kiddos, or just everything in general. (Although I am sure a few like to think they do. LOL!) Hang in there mama, that's about all we can do. Oh and I agree with the other mama, when they hell are they going to realize you need to be in the freaking hospital???? Idiots!

I agree with the girl above.. when are they going to realize you need to be in the hospital being monitored?? especially if you are far away from the hospital you need to get to when you are in labor! geez, if I were you, i'd want her out! you have so much stress and worry on your plate, at this point it'd probably be better for her to come and be in the NICU for a couple weeks. I'll pray for you girl!

I am actually super nervous about not making it to shands in time... I am going to try to make my ob's office squeeze me in today so I can ask these questions and hopefully they will listen and be able to calm me down... I mean, with my induction with my first daughter by the time I was 4cm I popped out my daughter 2 hours later... So I am super nervous...
And to add to this worry my daughter sophia spiked a fever last night, so she has to see her Dr today too (just to be safe). I swear... If its not one thing this pegnancy its another...
