3-4cm & 70-100% effaced

How long after you hit this point was it until you went into labor?????
I have been sitting at 3cm & 50-70% effaced for the past 3 weeks and now am a loose 3 tight 4cm and 70-100% thinned out... I am surprised (as well as my Drs) that I have managed to hold off having her for this long... I was just hoping to hear some good stories and hopefully get a little more hope that I can hold off a minimum of two more weeks (I will be 34 weeks tomorrow and Drs are taking me off bed and pelvic rest at 36 weeks, have also had steroid shots for baby's lungs).
All stories and replies are apprieciated
(sorry for any sucky spelling... no spell check on my phone or this computer Im on)...

Well, my aunt was3 cm and 70% effaced at 32 weeks. She stayed that way for 3 weeks, until she had my cousin at 35 weeks last yr. He was still early, but 35 weeks is better then 32!!!
Hope you can make it 2 more weeks. That's my Dr's goal for me too, 36 weeks...

my last child was like that. i was 3-4 and 85% effaced at 36wks. which by then is really no big deal but 33 wks. they will still have a fit. and make you do some of the craziest things they can think of to keep you preg. Keep cooking lil mama. stay off your feet as much as you can and try to keep you bladder empty, the more room baby has.. the better. bc once that baby drops all the way down on your cervix.. youll have it in no tiem f lats.

Yeah Im on strict bed rest... so I am in bed all day and can only get up to pee....
I keep my hips elevated too, but this kid is so low already I think thats why my cervix is changing so much... I think it has more to do with that then the contractions I have because those arent too bad anymore since they stopped labor a few weeks ago.... Im trying mamas to hold this one in... she is a stubborn little girl though let me tell you lol.

i was 4 cm diaalated and 100% effaced and i had memphis with in 4 hours. when did you go to the dr

do they have you on any trabutaline or any other anti- contraction meds. bc they had me on some bc i would get horrible contractions but they really wouldnt do anything changing so much.. but it was thining me out.. since he would b up and donw on the cervix after awhile it just thinned it self down. Id ask em to get you on that also.. any little thing could save yourself and baby a few days in the nicu.. would be a GREAT thing.

I still get contractions every 20-30 minutes... but they told me that I shouldnt have to worry unless I get 5 or more in an hour...

yeah they had me on that and trabutaline.. then just procardia..
same pX. n everything. but once my body got use to it he switched it to PRN for the procardia. i finally made it to 39w 5d. the day before i was suppose to be induced. lol lil man DECIDED i dont think so . you get so use to those false alarms.. that when it is TIME.. you body tells you but your brain says NOPE it aint.. they just send me home. i was dia 10 and waterbag was leaking behind and i had him in 11min after i got to the Hospital.

holy shit! lol. Yeah thats what Im afraid of... because I have gotten so use to the contractions I do have that Im afraid I wont know when its time for real....
Well... Im hoping off the computer to go monitor this little ones heart rate (she is being extra lazy today and its worrying me).... if my phone lets me post I will... if not then no one get mad lol

okey love. just hang in there mama.. any day baby doesnt get born early is a HUGE accomplishment for you sometimes babies at 32 wks go thro a little quiet spell.. bc they are rapidly growning.. and dont waste the energy needed to move so much.. its weird but any concern you have.. is a concern. so u do what yah gotta do much love and wishes for you and baby !your doing your BEST and thats a HUGE A+ IN THE best mommy book for you

Aww thank you! That means a lot to me. I've been fighting so long now to keep this litle one in that it will be nice to hit the 'term' zone and have her safely in my arms.

i know that feeling and how sWEET it will be when you reach it!
also hard when people around you have NO CLUE how hard it really is to stay preg. once your body decides its ready but baby isnt.. my hubby was HORRIBLE.. we cant do anything lalala.. crap auggg.. but I WAS like HELL NO i aint moving unless ihave to pee a HURRICANE storm lol.. i was hell bent on making it to 37wks. bc i never did with any of my other kids. but when 37 38 went.. then 39.. I WAS like HOLy heck.. what did i do bc then it seemed like he changed his mind all to gether.. and i was starting to love pregnancy again.. then he wanted to come.. HOW great it would b if babies could read calanders hahah
