Although Mercola has some good info, he is a huge turnoff to me. He is always trying to sell something and he spouts off like a conspiracy theorist. But I do read some of his articles

yeah thats credible.

if its ever coming from some one with the attitude that the government is out to get you i dont even believe it. most of the time its taking info and bending it to meet your need. i dont like that at all.

Thats why it turns me off.
I by no means think that the government always has my best interests in mind, but I also do not subscribe the the Population Control Theory, lol.
I always read both sides, follow the money trail and do lots of research and try my best to make an informed decision. Thats about the best I can do

Of the different theories on autism, I've never head this one:

It is known that stimulating a woman’s immune system during midterm and later term pregnancy significantly increases the risk that her baby will develop autism during childhood and schizophrenia sometime during the teenage years and afterward.

Hm. I wonder if there is a difference between getting a vaccine and getting the flu. They both stimulate the immune system. I'd rather be stimulated by a vaccine than the flu.

But, isn't your immune system in use every day, when it comes in contact with bacteria that's constantly around us? I'd assume our immune systems are constantly "stimulated."

It doesn't have to be government to be credible... research articles from journals on pubmed are pretty good too.

I almost hate to do it, but I gotta post the rebuttal against Mercola:

(I recently posted this in another thread, so I apologize if some have seen it before)

It is for sure. I guess the hypothesis takes into the account the degree of response?

Anyways, related but off-topic,this made me think of this article about "boosting one's immune system:"

(In case you can't tell, I LOVE the site science-based medicine. Lots of great topics and they do a good job of citing their sources)
