Concerned

posted 21st Oct
I know that since I've had sex it's entirely possible to be pregnant so that's not really what I'm asking. I'm wondering tho how possible or likely is it to be pregnant and get repeating negative pregnancy tests. I had what I would finally consider something worthy of being called a period about 10 days ago (which would be my first 'real' pp period at 10 mos pp) and after it was done I started getting crampy and it really reminded me not of period cramps but of the cramps you get when you nurse right after having a baby except I get it all the time not just when I'm nursing. With my second pregnancy I felt much like that around week 5. Now, a week after my period had ended I'm getting really nauseous but not vomiting, it's been like this for a couple of days now which is pretty much like how it happened with pregnancies. Like I said before, I know it's always possible but just how probable is it when I'm getting negative tests. I asked my doctor (I don't like him he's arrogant and intimidating but I haven't found a new one yet) and he told me it's just my body's way of weaning my daughter from nursing (that sounds like a crock of shit to me) and then threw some meds at me. I know something is going on, I just want to know if I can safely rule out pregnancy. Any insight would be much appreciated.

It's hard to say. Sometimes when your cycle is trying to get back to regular you can have those "Pregnancy symptoms" before I got pregnant with this baby, I had two cycles that I swore I was pregnant due to feeling like that. But when I really was, it was MUCH stronger symptoms and I had no doubt! Go with your gut! I had a friend who literally took pregnancy tests for 4 MONTHS before finally going to the doctor to see why she hadn't started her period, so they did blood work, and she was 4 months pregnant. Everyone's body responds to things differently. I will say though that I was sick to my stomach on and off before I actually got pregnant. I think it was my body balancing hormones? I dunno!

See I got pregnant so quickly after my first period after having my son that I'm not sure if I'm just paranoid about being pregnant or if it's something else. I just know that something's not quite right. Maybe it's just an imbalance of hormones and it'll just fix itself - that would be nice.

Yea, it's so confusing! haha If you want to be sure go in for blood work. Regular tests can be misleading, I don't think blood work lies.

I thought about that but I don't have a doctor here yet cuz I just moved and I'm kindof afraid anyone who doesn't know me is gonna think I'm a retard for wanting one after getting negative tests. If it keeps up for a couple more weeks I'll probably do just that tho, thanx.

Yea! I know what you mean! You feel dumb for doubting the test, but I have known them to not be accurate! I had to take 6 to get a positive with my first two! haha
