what are you looking for? why its bad? or altrenatives? i posted my personal fave alternative ealier.... the essential oils...... i would also use the "Search" box in BG and look at the posts here, I think thats the first place I saw it and then I went and researched it.

I only see things that say don't put it on a child. Nothing that says don't use it in a vaporizer. I know I did it with my other kids and they lived. Plus, the medical experts we deal with don't tend to know everything that's for sure. I may just try it if the increase in meds doesn't help. I mean it's like saying risk her suffocating on snot or risk her having a reaction to vicks. either way is win lose. *sigh* i'll have her on the monitor either way.

if you put it in the vaporizer, just cut it with water so its not so strong, and try it, if thats what seems like the right thing to do. if youre worried, call the pedi and ask them.

I can't get out and go buy any essential oils atm. My husband isn't here and has our car. Plus I can't take them out in public and even if I could the bases for my car seats are in the car. So I am trying to just make the best with what I have. I was reaching if using vicks in a vaporizer on a 3 month old preemie born with RDS that spells is safe in a variety of ways

I am not too happy with my peds. office atm so they can shove their advice   They will probably just guess anyway

You are so better than me Mama.I would have curled up in a fetal position after calling 911 and prayed like no other-and I am not even really religous.My heart goes out to you all.I couldn't imagine dealing with that on a day to day basis, let alone all of the 'normal' worries we as mothers entail.You are a rock!!

Sadly have gotten used to it. Taht's the part that really bothers me every day. One thing that sucked about when they came home from NICU is that I had a hard time with the fact that they felt so much like "patients" not just my children. But I got over it and I hope that in time I am able to get over feeling like home isn't safe for them. But thank you xoxoxoxoxo
